Thursday, July 1, 2021: The Sumas Grind. Oisin up early with rent being due looming overhead. 4:30 am Dad up doing accounting and billing, figuring out bills and rent. Annual report for the company, back to sleep after web proposal and client work for a nap then up with Cian awaking by 11 am. Trying to raise funds to go to Colorado to pickup some garter snakes that a friend has in their yard, then off to Gnome Dome, but financially not sure if can make it happen. Have to catch the snakes too. Need rent, bills, and travel funds. Not sure if possible. Cian caught up with his mom, she was stuck in the U.S. as she took the wrong covid test (one for England, not ireland) so was stuck in the Midwest. Costly new tests and delays. Cian sings his zombie apocalpyse song. Then the duo headed off to Lynden to pay rent, do some Doordash, and deal with bills. Back home, Cian played with neighbor kid, while dad did some client work. Doordash was bad/low pay. Covered gas, that was it. Edaleen dairy for ice cream. Lack of energy, binge watching Netflix. Wildfires in British Columbia are bad, poor air quality this week, lots of smoke. No reactivation with Grubhub yet. Hurry and wait. Work hunt. Dinner: hot dogs (Cian), Soup (Dad) and french bread.
