TOP TEN: Dreamcatcher (K-Pop)

This group was originally formed as ‚Minx‘ by Happyface Entertainment in South Korea: They first consisted of JiU (leader), SuA (dancer), Siyeon (vocalist), Yoohyeon (vocalist) and Dami (vocalist). After some released they re-debuted as Dreamcatcher with 2 additional members Handong and Gahyeon.

Their first single ‚Chase Me‘ with the single album ‚Nightmare‘ was released at the beginning of 2017 of which peaked at #25 in the Korean album charts. The same year the group released their debut EP ‚Prequel‘ which peaked at #4 in the Korean album charts and #5 in the US world Billboard Charts. Their unique sound with rock & metal elements earned them critical acclaim.

In 2018 the group released their 2nd EP ‚Escape The Era‘ which peaked at #3 in Korea and #7 in the US World Billboard Charts. Later in the year they released their next EP ‚Alone In The City‘ which peaked at #2 in Korea and #7 in the US world charts. In 2019 they followed it up with the next EP ‚The End Of Nightmare‘ (#3 in Korea, #6 in the US World Charts) and later ‚Raid of Dreams‘ (#3 in Korea and #10 in the US World Charts).

Their first studio album ‚Dystopia: The Tree Of Language‘ peaked at #3 in the Korean album charts. It was followed by two EPs: ‚Dystopia: Lose Myself‘, released in August the same year (#3 in Korea) and then ‚Dystopia: Road To Utopia‘ in 2021, which topped the Korean album charts. Then the EP ‚Summer Holiday‘ was also released in 2021 and peaked at #2 in Korea.

In 2022 their 2nd studio album ‚Apocalypse: Save Us‘ was released and peaked at #4. And finally their next EP ‚Apocalypse: Follow Us‘ was released in October 2022 (#4 in Korea).
