TOP TEN: Kensington

This band was formed in the Netherlands in 2005 by singer/guitarrist Casper Starreveld, bass player Jan Haker and drummer Lucas Lenselink who was replaced by Niles Vandenburg in 2008. In 2006 singer/guitarrist Eloi Youssef joined the group. In 2007 they released their first EP named „Kensington“ and in 2008 the 2nd EP called „Youth“ was released which received critical acclaim and helped them get a record deal under a major label. Their first full studio album „Borders“ was released in 2010 and in 2012 the follow-up lp called „Vultures“. It reached the Top 10 in the Dutch album charts. In 2014 they released their 3rd studio album „Rivals“ which topped the Dutch album charts. 5 singles of the album charted in the Netherland Mega Top 50. In 2016 they released their 4th album „Control“ – another #1 in the Dutch album charts and a Top 30 in Belgium (Flanders). Their newest album „Time“ is announced to be released in November.
