TOP TEN: Sophie and the Giants

This band was formed by singer Sophie Scott in 2015. In 2017 she added drummer Chris Hill, bassist Bailey Stapelton and guitarrist Toby Holmes, who were studying alongside her at the Guildford Music College at that time. In 2018 they released their debut single ‚Monster‘ and a couple of months later their debut EP ‚Adolescence‘.

In 2019 Stapelton was replaced by Antonia Pooles and their single ‚Lights‘ was selected by a mobile phone company for advertising in Germany. In 2020 their collab with German DJ ‚Purple Disco Machine‘ called ‚Hypnotize‘ was released and charted across Europe, peaking at #11 in Germany, while topping the Polish charts and reaching Top 3 in Italy among other countries. A 2nd collab called ‚In The Dark‘ was released and reached #12 in Germany, while reaching Top Ten in Poland, Belgium and Netherlands among other countries.
