Hello UBC, ever since I was young, I have always wanted to work in the fashion industry. In fourth grade, when our class went on a field trip to a lululemon factory, I got to witness products being designed, manufactured, and sold. The tour guide also talked about the process of thoughtfully interacting with clients by promoting a healthy lifestyle and creating a community of active enthusiasts. This approach helped them become one of the top athleisure companies, despite their older competitors like Nike and Adidas. I was intrigued by how a small company could expand globally by strategizing to promote its products. Since then, I wanted to learn more about the business world of fashion. To do so, first establishing a background in different fields of business is a crucial step.
I plan on leveraging numerous opportunities that UBC provides, such as the personalized support programs and extracurricular activities which will help me build character and develop as a management and Arts student by broadening my perspective of the world.
Therefore, by pursuing the Bachelor + Master of Management Dual Degree at UBC along with my major in Arts, I believe that I will be able to fully reach my entrepreneurial potential and become one step closer to my lifelong dream.
