Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel yesterday advocated for providing online education to people belonging to the transgender community. She said „Transgenders should be given online education facility.
2. Delhi govt demands Closure of Schools Owing To Severe Air Pollution.
The Delhi BJP on Wednesday demanded the closure of schools for physical classes and advocated conducting online teaching to protect children in view of high level of air pollution in the national capital.
3. J&K Schools Directed Not To Charge Annual Fee For November-March Period This Year.
The Jammu and Kashmir Committee for Fixation and Regulation of Fee of Private Schools (FFRC) has directed all schools in the valley not to charge annual fees for the period from November 2022 to March 2023 following the change of academic calendar by the government.
4. Haryana Removes Bond Amount For MBBS Admission At Govt Medical Colleges.
The Haryana government has decided to remove the bond amount for admission to MBBS programmes in the government medical colleges of the state. The decision to remove the bond amount of around Rs 10 lakh has been taken so that students can work in government hospitals and give their services to the people of the state after doing MBBS, the Chief Minister ML Khattar said, adding that the Haryana government is moving ahead with the objective of providing health facilities to every person, particularly the needy.
5. MP’s financial assistance scheme to help girls pursue higher education.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched the state government’s flagship ‚Ladli Laxmi 2.0‘ financial assistance scheme yesterday to encourage girls to pursue higher education and make them independent. Chouhan had launched the ‚Ladli Laxmi‘ scheme in 2007, after he became the Chief Minister for the first time in 2005.
6. Free transport facility to be provided to CET exam candidates in Haryana.
The Haryana Roadways will provide free pick-and-drop facility to candidates appearing for the CET examination to be held on November 5-6, according to an official statement released yesterday. Along with this, one family member travelling with women candidates can also avail this free travel facility provided they show their identity documents.
7. Psychological test made mandatory for admission to medical colleges in Uttarakhand.
The Government Medical College in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani has made psychological evaluation mandatory in the admission process this year. Earlier, for admission to MBBS and MD-MS courses in the college, only general Health tests were conducted.
