VERY BEST: Garrix, Martin

He was born as Martijn Gerard Garritsen in the Netherlands. His career began when idol Tiesto took him under his wings. In 2013 he released his song ‚Animals‘ which helped him to become the youngest artist to reach #1 at the Beatport charts. From there the song took off and reached European wide charts even topping the UK Charts – he became the 2nd youngest artist ever to reach the top-position there. In 2014 he released his first ep ‚Gold Skies‘ and did collabs with other Djs like Afrojack, Jay Hardway, Firebeatz just to name a few. In 2015 he left Spinning Records and in 2016 launched his own label STMPD RCRDS. In the same year he was the top DJ of the world in DJ Mag (which he repeated in 2017) and became the youngest DJ ever to get this honor.

In 2016 Garrix released a collab with Bebe Rexha called „In The Name Of Love“ – the song became the 4th Top 10 single in the UK for him, as well as his 2nd Top 30 hit in the US Hot 100 Billboard Single Charts. In 2017 he made another collab, this time with Dua Lipa, and later that year he also collabed with Troye Sivan. In 2018 Martin Garrix performed as the final act at the closing ceremonies for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. That year he again finished as the #1 DJ in the DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 – for a 3rd time in a row.
