WHAT ARE WE SKATING FOR? is our first collective show, working directly on skateboards as a medium. It features performances, appearances and exhibitions by 5 renowned creative forces: Anastasia BAY, Marc LESCHELIER, Paul McCARTHY, Tobias SPICHTIG, and LAMYLAND (Collective) under the patronage of the legend Michèle LAMY, internationally renowned creative hyphenate, Co founding Partner and Executive Manager art/Furniture Owenscorp.

Inspired by the model promoted by Michèle LAMY of mixing street culture with the codes of fashion and art, WHAT ARE WE SKATING FOR? is a manifesto to celebrate the world of skateboarding and its universal facets.

This collective effort is launched to raise support for a new skatepark build in Tameslouht, Morocco, constructed by our partners Concrete Jungle Foundation, in association with Centre Fiers et Forts.

All original and limited works will be available for sale at the event, and afterwards on theskateroom.com, with 20% of revenue going towards the project in Morocco.
