Who Made Our Textiles?

In support of Fashion Revolution Week 2021, we want to introduce you to an integral part of our team: our artisans at Jaipur, India. They are our creative collaborators, partners, craftspeople, and family.

We’ve been working with a family of artisans in Jaipur, India, for the past 3 years. It has been a learning process on both sides to establish trust, foster a good working relationship, and find common ground to bring Maisha textiles to life. We have gone through a lot of challenges––most recently having to work virtually together during the pandemic––but it is all thanks to them that we are able to have new collections and small-batch pieces.

A portion of every Maisha purchase goes straight back to this family, creating more opportunities and developing their confidence as skilled craftspeople. We vow to keep their traditions alive, enrich their day-to-day lives, and share what they do with the world.
