Willis Wall Off-Trail: Barrier (6521′)/Buell (5756′) Peaks

The most difficult part of climbing these two peaks for me was accessing them; steep off trail travel on sometimes grassy slopes. I connected Barrier to Buell via a connecting ridge. Buell was a much gentler summit. The final section to reacquire the Owyhigh Lakes trail was an unpleasant descent of the forest, sometimes on very steep slopes. I found myself on my bum a few times from sliding on the forest detritus. It was a great relief to suddenly pop out on the trail for the stretch back to my vehicle. Rated „mature“ due to the phrase „P%$#s’s me off.“
