Young Whale | The Big Island, Hawaii

I remember looking out into the ocean when I spotted this young humpback whale. I immediately ran to the nearest open field to fly my drone toward the bay as the last remaining droplets of a blow fell back into the ocean. My guiding point was a few small boats drifting right into the middle of the bay. As I approached, I noticed there was a guardian far below the surface, as high as I was in the sky.

When you travel to the ends of the earth, peer into the deep blue; it will be there looking back at you. Among the choreographed waves, you will witness family. You will witness community. You will witness creatures like us.
